What are the
typical data access speeds of interTouch's
Broadband system?
The interTouch
network access performance is significantly
faster than a regular modem connection and is
comparable to other local Broadband Internet

hotel network and travels through the Internet
network, transfer speeds will vary depending
on the network traffic and carrier throughput.

Is the interTouch
Broadband network secure?
interTouch has
taken considerable measures for protection and
security within the interTouch network for
Broadband Internet access. However, is it a
fact that the Internet is a public network and
would be inherently insecure. You should therefore
ensure that you have taken adequate measures
to secure data transfers through the Internet,

What is Ethernet
and will it work with my computer?
Ethernet is the
most widely used local area network (LAN) access
method.
In order to determine if your laptop PC is equipped
with the right network hardware to connect to
the interTouch network, you will need to check
the availability of an Ethernet card in your
laptop PC, by identifying the size of the card's
cable port, which is wider than a phone or modem
cable port.
If you do not have an Ethernet card, you could
probably loan one from the hotel front desk
during your stay.

How does the
interTouch network system work?
interTouch's
Broadband network uses a proprietary Visitor-Based
Network (VBN) technology to provide guests with
Internet access without having to re-configure
their systems.
When a guest logs
on to the interTouch Broadband network for
the first time, our server verifies the computer
location and displays an automatic Acceptance
page. Upon acceptance, the guest is enrolled
for the service, the hotel information page
appears and then the guest will be able to access
the Internet.
Once the 24-hour
period ends, the guest's access to the Internet
will be disabled and the Acceptance page will
then be redisplayed.

room. Guests will receive these bills upon check-out.
To terminate a connection,
a guest must unplug the interTouch network
cable or turn off his or her laptop PC.
